The song “Jesus is Here” left Glowreeyah Braimah‘s hands and went straight into the waiting hearts of the world. It’s a declaration of the assurance in the powerful presence of the Messiah and what it means for the believer, but the twist is that the writer took the expression of this assurance further with worship. So as much as it’s a song of declaration, it is also a worship song.
There is so much cause for trepidation in the world in recent times and a reminder of the potent presence of the Messiah, such as Glowreeyah’s message is the assurance the world needs in moments like this.
With the instrumentation, Glowreeyah maintains her folk music ensemble. Chants, Call and response are all typical Glowreeyah Braimah’s style. The use of language also gave the single major plus! She made use of Igala, Igbo & Yoruba, aside English and language has a way of driving a deeper understanding amongst its speakers.
“Jesus is Here” will do exceptionally well on stage. This is not to say the waxed version is in anyway defective, rather the wax version will make the listeners look forward to the live ministration. This is because the composition of the song is participatory hence, it will generate higher receptiveness when ministered live.
